PHASE 2: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Innovate Model

Product Development in the Innovate Model

The goal of the product development phase is innovative learner solutions to existing complex problems through digital product construction while providing for societal needs. Instructional strategies outlined during Phase 1, the instructional design phase, are implemented in three stages: create, construct, and revise. In the first stage, the learner creates a product design (i.e., storyboard) utilizing knowledge acquisition strategies to define an existing complex ill-structured problem rooted in content. Stage 2 results in a product-based solution constructed from the storyboard design created in the first stage. The final stage, revise, generates a deliverable refined product for expansion beyond the group.
